The strap is 47 in. (120 cm) long, so one strap fits every waist up to about 38 in. Take the buckle off, mark your size on the strap, cut it with sharp scissors, seal the end with a lighter and slide the buckle back on. You only do this once. After that the buckle clicks to the fit you want.
The strap is 1.5 in. (3.8 cm) wide, the standard width for jeans and work pants.
Push the strap into the buckle and the ratchet track inside the strap clicks into place, no holes needed. To loosen it, flip the lever under the buckle and let the strap out. It works with one hand.

It ships long so one strap fits every waist. Take the buckle off, trim the strap to your size once and slide the buckle back on.
How It Works
No holes to find. The ratchet track inside the strap holds the exact spot you pull it to.
Pull the strap through the buckle until it feels right. Every click is a small step, so you get the fit you want.
The teeth inside the strap lock into the buckle and hold through bending, lifting and climbing in and out of the truck.
After a big lunch or a long drive, flip the lever under the buckle and let it out. Push it back in and it locks again.
Two layers of nylon keep the belt stiff, so a tape measure or a phone case on your hip doesn't drag your pants down.
Nylon doesn't crack or stretch at the holes like leather, because there are no holes. Wipe it down and it's ready for tomorrow.
